Maggie is a casually cool, hound girl... the type who thinks she belongs in your lap, chilling on the sofa, watching Nascar & eating milkbones.  She is house-trained (using a dog door) & leash-trained.  

Cats seem OK with her & dog buddies of all sizes are cool too.   People are awesome too... especially ones who like to cuddle & dont mind having a shadow.

Maggie will do best in a home with a fenced yard & a dog buddy, but is willing to consider life as a SHD (single hound dog) for the right family.  An adopter that will commit to continued training (and perhaps even classes with a trainer) would be beneficial to help Maggie continue on the right path.

MAGGIE is available for adoption through K-9 Rescue of the Eastern Shore.

An adoption process is required to include filling out an online adoption application available at the following link -- https://www.k9rescuees.org/info/adoption

Veterinary and personal reference checks, and a home visit/meet-n-greet are required PRIOR to being approved to adopt. The time frame for completing this process depends largely on how quickly references respond, your vet office is able to speak to us (some want written permission first), your landlord or HOA (if applicable) confirms their approval for a pet, & how your schedule aligns with that of our volunteer(s) for the Home Visit.
